How do you get a really good idea off the ground?
Gerry led the establishment and development of a business start-up Professional Services capability in Europe, Middle East and Africa for a USA based Dotcom company and implemented e-Commerce technology in key fortune 100 companies across Europe. This was a completely new venture so the team, local in-country partners, and ability to deliver solutions to new clients had to be built from the ground up. Key skills were sought and hired, the induction training processes were developed to quickly ensure new consultants demonstrated extensive product and process knowledge to paying clients. The support network, project processes, commercials and other delivery mechanisms were built to deliver the professional services revenue targets quarter on quarter.
To deliver the professional services to implement ground-breaking technology individual consultants were inducted and trained intensively over two weeks where they were completely immersed in the ethos and essence of the company. Gerry produced the structure for the Professional Services Business including the training and induction process, personally delivering some of the strategic sessions and continually supporting consultants throughout. With the business infrastructure in place and having motivated and trained consultants with the confidence to engage with challenging clients from the start, the team in turn gave those client the motivation to initiate strategic high value projects knowing that they had the best team behind them. The B2B implementation universe was rapidly expanding, excellent professional services was the singularity that started it.
