Gerry's style is non-aggressive, more based on persuasion and convincing teams with the real facts, personable and not trying to brush aside priorities. I worked with Gerry back at Commerce One in a few different situations. The first one, was Gerry project managing two major high street brands in Hospitality and Pharmacy, and other buy-side clients to the platform. Project management of these stakeholders was a big challenge, with a lot of unknowns around the product, its custom framework, and budget control. I later worked with Gerry at another Commerce One client, Deutsche Telecom who were in partnership with Compaq Europe. Gerry was Programme manager for the implementation of the Commerce One market site product but also the ERP integration in SAP R3. This integration was at a time when XCBL was at a very early stage and integration to any ERP system was a customized solution and at a very large scale. Stakeholder management on this programme of work was extremely challenging with stakeholders and sponsors worldwide.
